They must keep that promise.Yes, they must, the just must.

Yeah, don't you love it when the NYT gives flat out orders to supposedly "independent" countries?
I guess what's missing is the "or else" part - as in "or else we will have to scrounge up some screwy rationale in a future editorial how it's all the republicans fault you're not democratic".

Very good - a fallacy run rampant. Is it the Shylock fantasy or the Portia fantasy?
This cannot have effect in actual fact, that is what I think.
