What Bush 'Curse'?

Excuse me, but Bush did not "curse" in his recent caught-off-mike musings (though 'musings' may be overcrediting the content). He used a scatology. Had he said "...thing is what they need to do is to get Syria, to get Hizbollah to stop doing this goddamned stuff and it's over" then that would have been a curse. But he didn't - he said 'shit', which is not a curse. Is there no end to the distortions of the MSM?

Planned leak anyone?

I dont think Bush is that smart, but Clinton had "planned leaks" all the time as run through friendly journo's over and over in my opinon.

The night he won, I remember (Bob Scheiffer I think it was) telling the audience that "sources" and "good friends"close to Clinton say "his heart will always be with the moderates".

I immediately had one thing in mind: Bullshit. He is fairly far left in reality, and his wife really is if they could have just gotten away with it. They are intelligent enough to believe in incrementailism to achieve their goals however, and were smart enough to hide it, believing that the state-Sweedish-style socialism they believed in would reach fruition here in a few more decades.

The best "planned leak" of the ENTIRE Clinton presidency was given to Matt Drudge, who ran with it like an idiot. News got out of Clinton getting "red-faced" and "losing his temper", etc. during cross-examination in the taped deposition of the Paula Jones case during the question lines that entailed the Monica Lewinsky affair to establish a pattern of behavior.

So all of America, including my own dumb ass, sat there and watched................waiting for the liar-in-chief to lose his cool and blow up (to see the real Moscow-protesting-Rhodes scholar, highway patrol-procured-for predatory animal we all thought he was). We didn't pay attention to how legally evasive he really was all during the Q&A ("depends of what your definition of 'is' is). It was a let-down for the conservatives and moderates who were looking askance at Billary for the first time in earnest. They came away thinking the whole thing was just politics and forgot about suborning perjury from another person {felony}, hiding evidence a la Bettie Currie {Felony2}, and committing perjury yourself {felony 3}. You try that as Bill O'Rielly (for all his faults) might say to a federal judge.

Planned leaks can be useful unfortunately, and as we become more cynical as a people (can you believe a scum bag like Dick Morris can still get a job in D.C.?), we had better prepare to see more and more of it as public schools and immigration dumbs the voting populace down to where they can be quite easily manipulated. mh

I don't buy that it was intentional. The conversations were a lot of nonsense - no one could mistake these blatherings for the deliberations at the Constitutional Convention - which is not surprising, since nothing gets done at those levels (unfortunately nothing worthwhile gets done at any other level for that matter).

I have to agree with ziel. What shocked me was not the president's gutter-level language (we all know about that), but the epsilon-moron-level view of the world he displayed, as if Syria can push a magic button and make all the MidEast problems go away. I mean , really, if Syria had that much power, Israel would now be an interesting footnote of 20th-century history.

I've heard this sort of thing on talk radio. The guy who says, "Ya know, Rush, it's all Syria doing this crap. If they'd just stop them hizbullers, everything would be just fine." Coming from John P. Cubicle it's pathetically funny. But when it comes from the most powerful man in the world, it's frightening. You could see Blair's look of extreme discomfort, panicking as he struggled internally looking for a politic answer. I bet he was relieved to find out the mike was on, so he could flip it off and make a quick exit.

Agree with Ziel. This was not a planned leak. This was a comment made by someone who thought he was "off mike". A shame, but not surprising, that this President doesn't know when he is off mike after 5 years in office. A bigger shame, but less surprising, is that he makes a simplistic comment that is so devoid of an understanding of the current situation.
I've said it before - a moron - if there is a dumber President in modern times, I'd love to hear the argument.
